On 9/23, we will be doing a tutorial. Make sure you have the TRF prepared and ready to go BEFORE YOU WALK INTO CLASS. Remember to bring your resources--textbooks and notes.
On 9/26, I will be doing a formal Cornall notes and binder check. Here is the rubric you will need to follow as I will be using it to grade your work.
I have added to the right hand bar a link for the mock tutorial request forms--check it out. In the "Helpful Documents" link, I have included the Cornell notes and binder check rubric and the "30 Second Speech" handout. Do your best to make your TRF and group presentation as well done as possible. Let's start getting professional peeps! :)

Milestones in My Life
As we grow older and learn more about ourselves and life, we achieve milestones--significant goals. Some milestones come naturally, such as reaching certain ages (turning 16), and in their nature mean something significant. Other milestones are reached by doing the best we can in life to achieve our full potential (earning an "A" in a difficult class where the previous grade was a "D").
In a 1 to 1 1/2 page response, write about some milestones you have achieved in your life through hard work and determination. Explain why these milestones are significant to you and how they have impacted your life. Finally, determine a new personal milestone that you would like to achieve this year -- explain why this milestone is important to you and how reaching this milestone will impact your life.
